Leadership Development & Gender Equality: As part of our commitment to equality, empowerment and succession planning, we put in place a leadership team, all of whom are women. Over the past year, these leaders received coaching focusing on leadership skills and strategic management. This investment in leadership development not only strengthens our company’s talent pipeline but also fosters a more inclusive and diverse workplace culture.
Intern Program: At EER, we believe in nurturing the next generation of talent and providing valuable learning opportunities for students and young professionals. Through our program, we offer hands-on experience in various areas of our business, allowing interns to gain practical skills, explore their interests, and develop a deeper understanding of our industry. This program reflects our commitment to talent development, diversity, and inclusivity as we strive to create pathways for young individuals to thrive and succeed in their careers.
Empowering Women: Our first hire in Saudi Arabia was a woman, demonstrating our commitment to gender empowerment and dedication to fostering diversity, equality, and inclusivity. By providing opportunities for women to thrive in male-dominated industries, we contributed to breaking down barriers and creating a more equitable and inclusive workforce.
Charitable Donations: Providing support to those in need through charitable donations can make a difference in the lives of others. In the UAE, a donation of AED10k was made to an expat (a friend of an employee) without health insurance towards the cost of cancer treatment. An amount of AED5k was donated to a company in Africa (supported by our board chair) towards preventing blindness, and a small contribution was made to our client whose employees had travelled to Nepal to help build a school.
Sustainability
Plastic Reduction Initiative: Through our plastic reduction initiative, we successfully eliminated between 260kg of plastic waste by implementing a sustainable solution for our drinking water needs. By installing a water filtration system in our office, we replaced plastic bottled water with filtered tap water. This initiative not only reduced plastic consumption but also minimised transportation emissions associated with the delivery of bottled water.
Transition to Rechargeable Batteries: We made the switch to rechargeable batteries for our computer mice, which reduces our consumption of single-use batteries, leading to a decrease in hazardous waste generation and contribution to our overall sustainability efforts.
